Richard Walden, DVM and Elizabeth Walden
Dr. Richard Walden is a local product who grew up in Austin.  He graduated from Texas A&M’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1987.  After an internship at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, he returned home and joined Northwest Austin Veterinary Center in 1989.  Dr. Walden and his wife, Elizabeth, have owned and operated the practice since 1993.  Dr. Walden and Elizabeth have two sons, Chris and Nick, a Yorkie named Janet and a French Bulldog named Nathan Jr.

 


Billie Boston, DVM

Dr. Billie Boston grew up in Yukon, Oklahoma.  She attended Oklahoma State University majoring in Zoology and earned her DVM in 2001.  After practicing in Oklahoma for four years, she made the move to Austin.  Her special interests include soft tissue surgery and internal medicine.  Dr. Boston and her husband Brian have a son named Jackson.  They share their home with Connor, a Doberman, and two kitties, Adam and Eve.  In her spare time she likes to travel and cook.  She has been a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association since 2001.

 

William Boyd, DVM
Dr. William Boyd received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Oklahoma State University in 1986.  Before joining NWAVC in 2005, Dr. Boyd practiced in both Oklahoma and Southern California.  His areas of special interest are internal medicine and surgery.  Dr. Boyd and his wife, Jennifer, have a son, Drew, and two daughters, Laurel and Jacqueline who all enjoy living in the Austin area.  The Boyd family shares their household with three cats, Harold, Daphne, and Charlotte.  Dr. Boyd’s interests away from veterinary medicine include house projects, attending his children’s sporting events, and golf.

 


Colleen Garza, DVM

Dr. Colleen Garza received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University in 2006.  She studied for her Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science at West Texas A&M University.  Prior to joining NWAVC and returning to her hometown of Austin, she practiced in the Midland/Odessa area.  Dr. Garza has a special interest in surgery.  In her free time, Dr. Garza enjoys trail riding and attending Aggie football games with her husband to support their alma mater.

 


Tyler Harrison, MBA – Hospital Administrator

Tyler Harrison was born and raised in Austin, Texas.  He graduated from Westwood High School in 2000, and then went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a Master’s of Business Administration from Texas State University.  Tyler has previously worked for NWAVC as an animal caretaker and veterinary technician before taking on the role of Hospital Administrator.  Tyler has a cat, Cleo, and enjoys golfing and live music in his free time.
